Dewy Skin...Yes Please!

There's a steady stream of new beauty trends popping up everywhere these days, but they are not always mature skin friendly. Radiant, dewy skins seems to be the pursuit of both young and old. As our skin continues to mature, it loses that youthful hydration that plumps up those cells. But all is not lost for us Queenagers!
Our skin health and hydration is key to obtaining that dewy look (added bonus is your makeup will apply to much easier). A Vitamin C supplement taken daily as well as applied topically plays an important role in stimulating collagen and protects your skin against pollution. If you're new to Vitamin C serum, start with one that has 10% Vitamin C and work your way to be sure your skin can tolerate it.
Hyaluronic acid is one my holy grail products for hydrating my skin. It attracts 1,000 times it's weight in water just from the air around us. It's best to apply when your skin is damp to maximize absorption. Look for a serum that contains multi-molecular Hyaluronic acid (large & small molecules). Even better if the serum contains other key ingredients like Niacinamide and Vitamin C.
To really seal the deal for that radiant, dewy look, I can't sing the praises enough for facial oils. I have been a fan of facial oils for several years. They are so incredibly versatile. Apply after your daily moisturizer (yes you heard that right) to seal in all that hydrating goodness.
Facial oils can also be mixed into your foundation to give it that extra boost and create a flawless makeup application. I look for oils that are natural and contain key hydrating ingredients like Squalene. One of my favs is Astraea oil from Brush Beauty Balm.
There are so many products on the market, don't be afraid to experiment to find what works best for your skin. And most import to bouncy, hydrated skin....drink your water!
